Awareness and civil responsibility in one application
"Travel Informed" offers an innovative and user-friendly way for citizens to send crisis alerts with their location. Compatible with both Android and iOS systems, the app provides accessible, free, and up-to-date information to help users stay aware of current events and potential risks in their vicinity. With just a few clicks, the app ensures that users are informed and prepared for emergencies.
The SOS button allows Bulgarian citizens in distress abroad to be quickly located and assisted in a timely manner. The app is a project of the Situation Center Directorate at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, funded by the Norwegian Financial Mechanism 2014 – 2021. It aims to keep Bulgarian citizens safe and informed while traveling abroad, giving them confidence in their global travels.
The Challenge
My responsibility was the UX/UI design and turning it into functional code. Additionally, the app facilitates direct communication with the Situation Center staff at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Bulgarian diplomatic representatives worldwide.
Logo Development
As part of the project, I also created the "Travel Informed" logo to reflect safety, connectivity, and real-time support for global travelers. The design features a red and green planet with lines, symbolizing global reach and connectivity, alongside the "BG" text, representing Bulgaria.
